The coastal path leads to our local beaches: Rockham, Grunta, Combesgate, Barricane and Woolacombe. The coastal path is rugged and steep in places, so bring your walking boots!

Perfect for surfing, body-boarding, swimming, sand dune surfing and long walks! Cafes and toilets at each end and set back at the top of the sand dunes half way along the beach.

Bennetts Mouth
A 40 minute circular walk from the house.
One of my favourite walks. Along the lighthouse road, following the stream through the woods and coming out at this beautiful secluded rocky beach.

Two pubs, tea room, cafe, fish and chips, home-made takeaway, general store, post office, museum, childrens' playground and a church.
Saunton Sands
20 minutes drive from the house
Easy parking. Epic sand dunes a seemingly endless beach.

The Tarka Trail
Off road cycling along the Tarka Trail.
We hire bikes in Barnstaple and love to cycle along the Tarka Trail to Instow where we enjoy a pub lunch or an ice cream on the beach.
